Thomas Hjelm

Thomas Hjelm has extensive experience in various management roles in the tech industry. Thomas started their career as a Software Engineer at IFAD TS in 1987. Thomas then worked at Matra Transportation, where they specialized in software research and development. After that, they joined Alcatel, where they focused on software methods and tools and played a key role in the company's CMM initiative. Thomas later moved to Telelogic, where they worked as a Product Manager. In 2004, they joined Danske Bank as a Department Manager, overseeing a team of IT architects and leading projects to improve the bank's development process. Thomas then joined Nokia as a Department Manager and later became a SW Concepting Manager and a Senior Manager, Global Operations Development. During their time at Nokia, they led global projects to improve operational efficiency and strategic focus. In 2011, they joined Informi GIS as a Team Manager, responsible for a team that develops GIS solutions. Thomas introduced Scrum as a project development method, significantly improving efficiency. Currently, Thomas Hjelm is working as the Director of Product Management at CAST, where they lead a team of product managers and is responsible for defining the product roadmap and specifications.

Thomas Hjelm has a diverse education history. Thomas obtained a Master in Management of Technology (MBA) from the DTU - Technical University of Denmark between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they pursued a MSc in Computer Science at the University of Oxford in 1989 and 1990. Additionally, they have a BSc in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark, which they completed from 1984 to 1987. Finally, they received a Matematisk Studentereksamen from Mulernes Legatskole in 1982 after studying from 1979 to 1982.
