David Taylor

David Taylor is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in technical and operational leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Technical Officer at Castlelake since November 2025, David previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at ABL Aviation from August 2024 to November 2025. At Avolon, from September 2015 to March 2024, David served as Global Head of Technical Transactions, overseeing key negotiations and managing technical transactions in the Asia Pacific region. David's expertise encompasses aircraft redeliveries, technical negotiations, and project management, with prior experience at Santos Dumont and Ryanair, where technical standards, compliance, and aircraft maintenance were central responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Chartered Accountants Ireland and various aviation-related certifications from institutions such as EASA and Kingston University.
