Ben Driesen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ben started their career at Wildwaterschool.nl, where they worked as an instructor and volunteer for kayak courses during the summer seasons from 2007 to 2013. Ben then joined Runnersworld as a sales employee from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Ben joined Calco, a Dutch IT company, as a Masterclass Professional, participating in a two-year trainee program to develop IT skills and competencies. Ben also worked at Nationale-Nederlanden as an Information Analyst and Application Administrator for service management portals from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are employed at Castor as a Principal QA Automation Engineer since 2017, previously serving as the Manager of QA from 2021 to 2023 and the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer from 2017 to 2021.
Ben Driesen completed their education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Ben obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Bewegingswetenschappen (Human Movement Sciences) in 2013, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Movement Sciences in 2015. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Object Orientation Foundation, Database and SQL Foundation, Information Security Foundation based on ISO IEC 27002, ITIL® Foundation Certificate, and Professional Scrum Master I, all in 2015.
