Catalan Group is a unique science communication organisation with a twist. Instead of acting as a reporter for science news, we interpret your science stories and work together with scientists, researchers, technical professionals, and start-ups to enable them to present their own science to wider audiences.

Well-presented science, research, technical and health messages are a mixture of concepts that are spoken in an expert and credible way but are understandable to the audience. Catalan Group will help you to identify your audience and what messages are more likely to resonate with them.

Striking a balance of credibility, with understanding from your audience can lead to social acceptance and trust of your science along with industry support and grant success.

Science communication and storytelling are not soft skills, instead they are a set of core professional communication skills for you as a scientist, researcher, or government communicator.

Catalan Group represents more than 25 years of experience working across health, science, research, and innovation to create messages and guide others to successfully present their own science.

Why communicate your science and tell your own story well?

When scientists communicate effectively, science thrives. It allows engagement with your audience and an opportunity for your message to address the “so what?” and the “why does it matter?”

Science is increasingly interdisciplinary and the ability to communicate well across disciplines fosters collaboration and innovation.

Scientists who are well trained in science communication are the most direct source of expertise and credibility. It assists in countering misinformation and misconceptions that clutter the public debate.

Targeted communication by scientists can influence government decisions at all levels related to regulation, science policy, and funding. It has an important impact on scientific progress.
