Brian Avison

Brian Avison has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Brian is currently the Director of Operations and Site Lead at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Prior to this, they worked at PCI Pharma Services as a Production Manager, where they oversaw packaging and labeling operations for clinical trials. Brian also supported the site's operational excellence program and sales and operational planning process. Before that, Brian worked at Axalta as a Plant Manager, responsible for all aspects of a high-hazard manufacturing facility. Brian also served as an Engineering Manager, leading M&A integration projects and managing major capital projects. Additionally, they were an Area Manager overseeing filling operations and a Process Engineer, implementing capital projects to improve efficiency. Brian started their career as an Integrated Solutions Intern at Sartorius Stedim Biotech and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Penn State University, where they received a Gold Medal for their research on biosensors.

Brian Avison earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Science from Penn State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Brian also obtained additional certifications in Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS in 2017, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Project Team Leader from Axalta Coating Systems in 2015, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from BMGI in 2014.
