Yair Ghitza is currently the Chief Scientist at Catalist, where they lead statistical research and development, focusing on constructing predictive models and implementing new statistical methods to enhance data products for political campaigns and research organizations. Yair's expertise encompasses statistics, machine learning, and data visualization, with substantive interests in public opinion, politics, and public policy. Previously, Yair contributed to the MIT Media Lab as a Visiting Research Assistant, participated in the analytics team for Obama for America's campaign, and worked as an Analyst at Copernicus Analytics, where they developed large-scale statistical models. Yair holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan.
