Callum Dickinson has diverse work experience in the field of technology. Callum started their career in 2013 as a Tutor at Victoria University of Wellington. In 2015, they joined Catalyst IT Limited as an intern Network Administrator, where they developed a Python-based daemon for establishing a fully routed VRF overlay network. Callum also worked on other network and system administration tasks during this internship. After completing the internship, they became a Junior Network Administrator and Operations Developer at Catalyst IT Limited, where they continued working on networking projects and gained experience in Linux and Cisco-based networking hardware. In 2016, they joined Victoria University of Wellington as a Research Assistant, focusing on Software Defined Networking and contributing to the development and testing of Faucet, an open-source SDN controller. Callum held this position until 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at NEC Solution Innovators as a System Engineer, primarily involved in backend development of a data processing service utilizing Natural Language Processing. Currently, they work as a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Catalyst Cloud, starting in 2022.
Callum Dickinson attended Victoria University of Wellington from 2012 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a focus on Network Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they obtained the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Level N2) certification in August 2018 from The Japan Foundation.
