William Oates

William Oates has over four decades of diverse professional experience, currently serving as a Consultant in Corporate Governance at CESO since 2008 and as Treasurer at The Gregorian Institute of Canada since 2004. Oates has also held roles as Chair of the Dundas Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of Dundas Sunrise Rotary. Prior work includes significant positions in finance with Burns Fry and Nesbitt Burns, as well as operations management at Walwyn Stodgell and audit and consulting at Clarkson Gordon. In addition to corporate roles, Oates has maintained a self-employed career as a Baritone since 1983, catering to events such as weddings and funerals. Oates holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Toronto.
