James Petro is currently the Demand Planning Manager at Catch Co. James previously worked as a Merchandise Planner at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. from June 2016 to May 2021. There, they were responsible for planning and managing the Hollister Guys Graphic Tee assortment, and they owned the omni-channel item plans with a focus on sales volume, inventory levels, and margin in order to achieve both top-line and bottom-line financial targets. From May 2015 to August 2015, James Petro was a Merchandise Planning Intern at L Brands. There, they modeled correlation between variances to plan and margin while identifying methods to better predict weekly volume in future seasons. James also analyzed and reported Semi-Annual Sale results, calculating clearance sales’ impact to margin while identifying opportunities for incremental revenue in future clearance events. Furthermore, they collaborated with merchants and planners to develop future season’s product assortment from a financial perspective, working to drive growth while monitoring held inventory risk. Prior to their internship at L Brands, James Petro was a Business Technology Teaching Assistant at Kelley School of Business at Indiana University from August 2014 to May 2016. Additionally, they were a Project Accounting Intern at NextEra Energy Resources from May 2014 to August 2014.
James Petro graduated from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Operations Management. James then went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Operations Management from Indiana University Bloomington.
