Andrew DeVillier

Andrew DeVillier is a Senior Metallurgist at Caterpillar, where they focus on metallurgical failure analysis and product qualification for heavy vehicle components. Previously, Andrew garnered extensive experience in high strength steel metallurgy and fracture mechanics while supporting aircraft systems at the United States Navy. They transitioned into engineering consulting at Exponent, applying their metallurgy knowledge to perform failure analyses across various industries. Andrew holds both a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University and has also worked in medical orthopedics, contributing to the engineering of medical devices and tools. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys photography, cars, karaoke, and spending time with their great dane.
