George Hsu is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Center of Medical Innovation at Augusta University since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician at the Children's Hospital of Georgia, Augusta University starting from July 2012. In 2018, they became an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Augusta University. Additionally, George also holds the position of Chief Medical Officer and Founder at Cathaid Inc. since January 2015.
George Hsu received their Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master's Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Georgia State University. In 2012, they enrolled in the Pediatrics Residency Program at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, which they completed in 2015. Continuing their education at the same institution, George completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 2012. George then pursued a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program from 2015 to 2018 at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. In terms of certifications, George obtained several certifications including Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Asepsis Technique, Basic Life Support, Basic Life Support Instructor, and Pediatric Advance Life Support Instructor.
