The Cathedral Basilica Foundation is a non-religious nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, restoring, and sharing one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most significant historic landmarks.

We care for the Basilica Block so it can continue to inspire the community, welcome visitors, and preserve the stories, craftsmanship, and history that make it so important to St. John’s and beyond.

Through restoration, conservation, and community partnerships, we are working to ensure this remarkable space remains accessible, vibrant, and financially sustainable for future generations—a place where heritage is protected, people gather, and learning, culture, and creativity can continue to flourish.
