Ma'Ayan Eckstein

Ma'ayan Eckstein is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and museum education. Currently serving as a 4th grade teacher at Catherine Cook since August 2017, Ma'ayan previously taught 3rd and 5th grades at Bronx Community Charter School from August 2013 to July 2017. Ma'ayan's experience also includes working as a museum educator at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, where interactive tours facilitated connections to immigrant history for school groups and visitors. Additional roles include teaching 7th grade at Temple Shaaray Tefila, where Holocaust education and social action were emphasized, and developing critical thinking skills in various student teaching positions. Ma'ayan holds a Master's degree in Museum and Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Central Florida.
