The Catherine Donnelly Foundation is transforming the lives of those in underinvested communities by supporting innovative solutions in civic engagement for social change, the environment and housing. We achieve this by funding, ethical investing and collaborating with organizations across Canada.

As grantmakers, we are committed to a trust-based philanthropic movement that respects our partners, opens ourselves up to their wisdom and works proactively with them to shift to a more equitable nonprofit-funder ecosystem. Since 2005, the Foundation has provided more than $36 million in grants.

We also actively advocate for better environmental, social and governance practices through our responsible investments. Since 2014, We have made 22 investments with $3.8 million in capital tied to our core funding areas.
