Martin Valvik

Martin Valvik is a data scientist at CathVision. Martin has previously worked as a senior software developer at GN Hearing A/S, an algorithm developer at Fingerprint Cards, and a system architect and algorithm development leader at Philips Danmark A/S, Handheld Diagnostics. Martin has also worked as an R&D engineer focused on algorithm design at Unisensor A/S.

Martin has over 17 years of experience in the field of algorithm development, including work in both large scale external projects for international customers and internal projects. Martin has been involved in all phases of algorithm development, from requirement specification and risk analysis to planning, design, implementation, verification and validation.

At Philips Danmark A/S, Handheld Diagnostics, Martin was part of the architect team that directed the overall technical design choices of Philips BioCell across all projects. Martin also created procedures and guidelines for algorithm development that conformed to regulatory standards for medical device development.

Martin Valvik's educational career began with him attending Sigerslevøster Privatskole and Gørløse Skole for their Folkeskole. Martin then went on to attend HTX Hillerød for their HTX. Finally, they attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark where they earned their M.Sc. (Eng.) in digital image processing, pattern recognition, and applied mathematics.
