James Bird

James Bird is a Managing Director at Cavendish, where they lead the Public Affairs and Innovation & Insight teams. With nearly 20 years in corporate affairs and communications, they have a robust background in journalism and local government as a former broadcast journalist and elected councillor. Since joining Cavendish in 2015, they have driven double-digit growth and founded the Insights team, leveraging data and AI to enhance organizational efficiency and creativity. Additionally, James is a champion for inclusion, having established an LGBTQI+ group and supported initiatives for diverse talent. They are currently pursuing a Pg. Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at Birmingham City University.
