Christopher Smith has over 9 years of experience in product management, research, and medical writing. In 2018, they joined Skylight Health Group (TSXV: SHG) (OTCQX - SHGFF) as SVP Digital Health & Data, Head of Product & Research, and Product Manager. In this role, they were responsible for product manager for clinical decision support tools, new product initiatives and strategy, and team lead for big data and artificial intelligence initiatives.

Prior to this, they were Head of Content & Product Development Lead at OrthoEvidence from 2011 to 2018. In this role, they owned the product roadmap for OrthoEvidence, led the shift towards an agile delivery process, and lead user research developing personas using Google Analytics, MYSQL databases, and surveys. Christopher was also a Medical Writer at OrthoEvidence from 2011 to 2018, where they performed critical appraisals, reviews, and summaries of best evidence in orthopaedics, managed relationships with key stakeholders in the orthopaedic industry, and developed search algorithms for randomized control trials and meta-analyses.

Additionally, Christopher Smith was a Research Consultant - Part Time at Freelance Consultant/ Encore Research/ Global Research Solutions from 2011 to 2018. In this role, they planned and defined research and medical writing projects for clients, managed data extraction and handling for multiple projects, and conducted data analysis using Excel, RevMan, and other statistical software.

Christopher Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Honours in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo between 2005 and 2009. Christopher then continued their studies at the same university, graduating with a Master of Science (MSc) in Integrative Vascular Biology in 2011. In addition, Christopher has obtained two certifications from Coursera: "An Introduction to Marketing" in January 2014 and "Learn to Program: The Fundamentals" in October 2013.
