Phillip Marks, PhD, is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Unwritten, and serves as an advisor for Cbamboo. Previously, Phillip held the roles of Global Lead in Climate Engineering and Engineer at Palantir Technologies. Phillip obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Computational Physics with a focus on Quantum Mechanics from the University of Oxford between 2015 and 2019, and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from the University of Reading from 2013 to 2015.

Cbamboo is building the operating system for the world's carbon border taxes. Our mission is to keep firms compliant and drive them to decarbonise their supply chains. Our work focuses on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the world's first carbon border tax, which applies to EU importers with their first reports coming due on 31 January 2024.
