Alex Migdal

Alex Migdal is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism and social media production. Currently serving as the Senior Producer for Social & Audience at CBC since June 2017, Alex manages a team of over 15 social producers and editors, focusing on impactful content across platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, and oversees the social strategy for CBC’s investigative show, The Fifth Estate. Alex also contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at The University of British Columbia, teaching a course on social media for graduate and undergraduate students. With prior roles that include journalism fellowships, digital media coordination, and reporting for major outlets, Alex has developed a strong background in diverse storytelling, ethics in journalism, and audience engagement. Alex holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Film Studies from the University of Alberta.
