Dan Ciraco is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the entertainment, media, and intellectual property sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director & Lead Counsel at CBC/Radio-Canada since 2008, Dan has held various positions at York University - Osgoode Hall Law School as a lecturer and co-director of the Intellectual Property Law & Technology Intensive Program. Dan's former roles include General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Masterfile, where responsibilities included managing corporate compliance and expanding copyright operations in Europe, and positions at leading law firms such as Stohn Hay Cafazzo Dembroski Richmond LLP and James, Siddall & Derzko. In addition to legal practice, Dan has contributed to the Ontario Bar Association and has been recognized with the Ontario Volunteer Service Award for community mediation services. Dan holds multiple degrees from York University, including an LL.B. and the Osgoode Certificate in Entertainment Law.
