Liam Harrap

Liam Harrap is an accomplished reporter and journalist currently working for CBC as a reporter for the afternoon show Radio Active since July 2021. With prior experience as a multimedia journalist at Revelstoke Review, Harrap has a strong background in daily news reporting, community engagement, and moderating political debates. Previous roles include podcasting for Terra Informa, acting in commercials, and participating as an amateur home baker contestant in The Great Canadian Baking Show. Harrap's journalistic journey also includes stints as a journalist for Edson Leader and a reporter/producer for CBC/Radio-Canada, where a highlighted web article achieved significant recognition. With a foundation in biology, having worked as a biologist with the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute and the University of Alberta, Harrap holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Carleton University and a degree from The University of British Columbia.
