Michael Woods

Michael Woods is a Digital Senior Producer at CBC News Parliamentary Bureau, a position they have held since 2023. Previously, they served as a Senior Digital Lead at CTV News Ottawa from 2020 to 2023, and before that, they worked in various roles including Assignment Editor/Producer and Reporter at multiple news organizations. Michael's earlier career included a role as a Policy Analyst at Public Safety Canada and several reporting positions, including Staff Reporter at Toronto Star and Politics and Public Service Reporter at Metro English Canada. They earned a BA with a focus on History and Political Studies from Queen's University, where they also held editorial positions at Queen's Journal.
