Paul McGrath has extensive experience in media, strategy, and audience development. Currently serving as Chair of Buffer Festival since April 2025, Paul leads Canada's premier creator festival. As Senior Director of Entertainment Strategy and Audience Development at CBC since April 2017, responsibilities include overseeing company-wide strategy and social media initiatives for over 50 YouTube channels. Paul also held the role of Senior Director of Strategy and Product Development at CBC, managing product teams focused on digital publishing. Prior to this, Paul founded InnovaTV, a conference dedicated to media innovation, and the CBC Creator Network, which produced over 250 pieces of original content. Paul's career began with founding Synaptic Media, a media consulting firm, and progressed through various roles at CBC that emphasized social and digital content production. Paul holds a BA in Political Science from Queen's University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Concordia University.
