Susan Ormiston

Susan Ormiston is an accomplished journalist currently serving as an International Correspondent for CBC since January 2023, focusing on U.S. politics, U.S.-Canada relations, climate issues, and significant American news events. Prior to this role, Ormiston held the position of Senior Correspondent with CBC from September 2010 to September 2019, where coverage included international and domestic news, and previously worked as a Foreign Correspondent in London, reporting on major events in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Earlier in her career, Ormiston was a Correspondent and Host at CBC Television from September 2001 to July 2010 and a Correspondent/Host at CTV from July 1991 to June 2001. Ormiston holds an Honorary Doctor of Letters degree from the University of Saskatchewan (2022) and a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) from Carleton University.
