Tara McCarthy

Tara McCarthy is an experienced media professional currently serving as a Community/Traffic/Weather Reporter on Edmonton AM at CBC, a position held since February 2008. With a diverse background in radio and podcasting, Tara also hosts and produces the weekly news podcast The Loop, contributes as a fill-in host on CBC North Radio One, and has worked as a part-time news presenter for pan-territorial newscasts. Additional roles include managing editor for Yukon, North of Ordinary, and hosting duties on various CBC programs. Tara's early career features positions such as morning show host at CHON FM and editorial intern at Flare Magazine. Tara holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, earned in 2006.
