Tessa Vikander

Tessa Vikander is a versatile journalist and educator with extensive experience in reporting, editing, and supporting Indigenous storytelling. Currently a reporter for CBC since June 2023, Tessa has also been self-employed as a freelance journalist since January 2020, contributing to prominent outlets such as the New York Times, Reuters, and CTV News. In addition to roles as a contract copywriter for the Hospital Employees' Union and editor for Asparagus Magazine and IndigiNews, Tessa has taught digital journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. With a Bachelor of Arts in Canadian Studies and Sociology from McGill University and additional journalism and social entrepreneurship certifications, Tessa demonstrates a commitment to impactful storytelling within the Canadian media landscape.
