Tom Ayers

Tom Ayers is a seasoned reporter and editor with extensive experience in journalism. Currently serving as a reporter/editor at CBC since April 2018, Tom brings a diverse skill set developed through previous roles at Halifax Chronicle Herald, Cape Breton Post, and various freelance positions. Tom has demonstrated leadership as the director of editorial at Cape Breton Post, overseeing a sizable newsroom and managing production operations. Previous positions have included writer/editor roles at The Cape Bretoner and Winnipeg Free Press, where Tom showcased a strong ability to produce compelling content. Tom's career commenced as a paste-up artist at Winnipeg Sun, providing a foundation in layout and design. Tom is a graduate of Carleton University.
