Trevor Lyons

Trevor Lyons is an experienced videographer and chief drone pilot with over two decades of experience in the broadcast industry. Currently serving as Chief Drone Pilot at CBC since March 2002, Trevor is responsible for training drone pilots and developing standard operating procedures for drone use. In addition to this role, Trevor owns and operates Blue Crow Aerials, a business launched in 2015 that focuses on aerial photography and adheres to the regulatory standards for certified drone operation in Canada. Prior to these positions, Trevor contributed to the startup of Global Montreal as a videographer and editor from 1995 to 2002 and worked at Thunder Bay Television in the same capacity from 1992 to 1995. Trevor holds educational credentials from RRC Polytech and Confederation College.
