James Bower

James Bower has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. James is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Marcus Thomas LLC since September 2021. Prior to this, they held various positions at CBIZ, starting from Senior Director of Accounting & Director of Financial Reporting in April 2007 to August 2014. During their time at CBIZ, they also served as the Vice President of Finance, Financial Services Segment from January 2018 onwards. Before joining CBIZ, James worked as the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting at PolyOne from November 2004 to April 2007. James also served as the Corporate Controller and Treasurer at Lexington Precision Corporation from December 2000 to November 2004. Prior to that, they worked as the Controller & Director of Finance at Alan Ross Insurance from February 1994 to September 2000. James started their career at Deloitte as an Audit Staff in July 1987 and progressed to the role of Audit Senior, eventually becoming an Audit Supervisor before leaving in February 1994. Throughout their career, James has managed financial functions, led accounting teams, presented financial results, and facilitated financial reporting for public filings. James has a strong background in finance, accounting, and financial reporting.

James Bower obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University between 1982 and 1987. James later obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) from The Accountancy Board - State of Ohio in 1994.
