John Geffert

John Geffert is an accomplished legal leader with over 23 years of experience in a publicly-traded professional services firm. Currently, they serve as General Counsel, Financial Services, and Assistant Secretary at CBIZ, where they have been since 2023, having previously held the position of Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary since 2002. John began their legal career as an Associate at Wegman, Hessler & Vanderburg from 2000 to 2002, specializing in product liability defense. They earned a B.S. in Accounting and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, following their education at Saint Ignatius High School.
