David J. Contis

David J. Contis is the current Chairman at CBL Properties. Prior to this, they were the President of Mall Platform at Simon Property Group from May 2011 to May 2017. There, they managed over $5 billion in annual revenues and was responsible for establishing strategy and implementation of development, leasing, management and marketing objectives for Mall Platform. David also oversaw the company's IT initiatives. From January 2010 to May 2012, they served as a Board Member for Kuwait Oil Company. And from April 2008 to April 2012, they served as a Board Member for BRMALLS. Lastly, they were the President of Real Estate at Equity Group Investments from November 2006 to April 2011.

David J. Contis has a JD from DePaul University College of Law and a BS in Finance from DePaul University. David is also certified by the INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTERS/EUROPE LLC as a Certified Executive Property Executive, Certified Design, Construction and Development Professional, Certified Leasing Executive, and Certified Marketing Director. In addition, they are certified by the Illinois State Bar Association as a Licensed to practice Law and by Harvard Business School as a Financial Statement and Corporate Analysis.
