Michael Bishop

Michael Bishop is a seasoned software engineering professional with over two decades of experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Cboe Global Markets since February 2017, Bishop has held multiple roles within the organization, including Director of Software Engineering and Software Engineering Manager. Prior to Cboe, significant contributions were made at Bats Global Markets, Inc. from May 2006 to February 2017, where Bishop managed the development of high-performance, distributed C++ electronic trading systems and designed the BATS Smart Order Router. Earlier career highlights include serving as Software Architect at Secure Passage, where Bishop led the development of the FireMon application, and roles in software development at FishNet Security and Butler Manufacturing. Bishop holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University.
