John Gideon serves as the Sr. Director of Cloud Platform Engineering at CBRE since November 2011, overseeing global responsibilities for Cloud Platform Engineering and Cloud Governance programs. In this role, John leads teams of cloud architects, platform engineering, and financial management to ensure optimal utilization of cloud resources and delivery of impactful solutions. Prior to CBRE, John held various positions at Rent-A-Center from February 2002 to October 2011, including Senior Director of Data Management, where oversight of the data warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM), and Business Intelligence was a primary focus. Earlier career experience includes roles at Agilent Technologies, VeriFone, and serving as a Team Leader in the 1st Ranger Battalion. John holds an MBA in Management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas and a B.S. in Information Technology from The University of Texas at Arlington.
