Jess Baker

Jess Baker has over 15 years of work experience in data governance and analysis. They started their career at M&T BANK as a Treasury Management Consultant from an unknown start date to 2006. They then joined Bloomberg LP in 2006 and held various roles including Corporate Bond Analyst, Capital Structure Analyst, Senior Credit Analyst, and Business Analyst. At Bloomberg LP, Jess played key roles in data quality and governance, project management, and team management. In 2019, Jess moved to CBRE Investment Management as the Global Data Manager, and later became the Head of Data Governance in 2022. In these roles, they focused on developing data governance frameworks, democratizing data, and creating a data-centric culture.

Jess Baker has a diverse education history. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in International Business from Elizabethtown College. Later, they pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Finance from Drexel University between 2010 and 2012.

In 2015, Jess earned a certificate in Project Management from Rutgers University - Camden. They also obtained Advanced Analytics Certificate from General Assembly in 2018.

In terms of additional certifications, Jess has acquired several valuable qualifications. In 2022, they passed the Data Management Fundamentals Exam: Master Level from Canvas Credentials (Badgr). This was followed by their achievement of the Data Governance Exam: Master Level, also from Canvas Credentials (Badgr), in July 2023.

Alongside these certifications, Jess completed a Data Governance Certificate program at the OSCRE Academy in 2021, specializing in Real Estate Data Governance. Additionally, they obtained a certificate in Data Ethics from Cornell University in September 2023.
