Derek Austin

Derek Austin is an experienced machinist with a strong background in CNC machining, having worked at CBS Boring and Machine Company since April 2017 as a machinist/setup CNC. Prior to this role, Derek held positions as a CNC machinist at Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering, Inc. and Accurate Gauge & MFG, where responsibilities included machine setup and operation, monitoring for issues, and ensuring proper machining sequences. Earlier experience includes roles as a tire technician at Belle Tire and an oil technician at Automedics of Shelby, focusing on vehicle maintenance and inspections. Derek holds a GED in Mathematics from University Center Gaylord.
