Adam Murphy

Associate Director, Technical Operations at CBSET

Adam Murphy has over 20 years of work experience in the field of surgical and veterinary technology. Adam started their career as a Veterinary Technologist at Carlisle Animal Hospital in 1996 and later worked at Acton Animal Hospital in the same role. In 1998, they joined Pfizer as a Surgical Technologist in their Global Science & Technology division, where they worked for 20 years. In 2018, they joined CBSET as a Manager, Technical Operations, and later transitioned to the role of Associate Director, Technical Operations in 2021. At CBSET, they have been responsible for various tasks including assisting study directors and sponsors with surgical model development and study protocol design, overseeing laboratory operations, performing surgeries on different animal models, managing research technicians, developing training matrices, analyzing staffing costs, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Adam Murphy attended Mount Ida College from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant. In addition, they have obtained the Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) certification from AALAS in April 2004. Adam is also a Certified Veterinary Technician, certified by both the Massachusetts Veterinary Technicians Association Inc and the New Hampshire Veterinary Technician Association, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unavailable.
