Network Engineer III at CBTS

Chris Northrup began their work experience in 2011 as an Infantry Soldier in the US Army. Chris served in this role from April 2011 to October 2014. Following this, Chris joined USSOCOM in November 2014 as a Special Forces Sr. Communications Sergeant, where they remained until December 2021. In December 2021, they started a new role as a Network Engineer III at CBTS.

Chris Northrup earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Roanoke College, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their high school education and obtained a High School Diploma from King School, which they attended from 2000 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Chris has also obtained several certifications. In July 2021, they became a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) through Cisco. Chris also holds certifications in CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+, which they obtained in August 2020 and March 2020 respectively.
