Chris Utz has extensive work experience in the field of software development and IT. Chris started their career in 1992 as an Applications Developer at AT&T and worked there until 2000. At AT&T, they were responsible for developing applications.
In 2000, Chris joined IBM as a Software Developer and Technical Team Leader. Chris served as a technical lead for a web-based AT&T network application and managed prototyping, Java/C++ coding, and testing. Chris also trained and supported remote developers on the development process for multiple applications.
During their time at IBM, Chris held various roles including Java Application Developer and IT Specialist - Access Management System Boarding Specialist. As a Java Application Developer, they designed, coded, and tested Java applications for the IBM Global Finance organization. Chris also developed a framework for GUI and back-end services, reducing the development cycle time for future Java applications. Additionally, Chris created over 60 new Java applications based on client interface requirements.
In their role as IT Specialist - Access Management System Boarding Specialist, Chris led a team responsible for managing access and authority for users to hundreds of IBM applications. Chris acted as the primary contact for over 30 applications, providing application support and enhancements to internal clients.
Most recently, Chris worked as a Java Developer at CBTS starting in 2018. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Application Developer at Great American Insurance Group since 2019.
Chris Utz attended Northern Kentucky University from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
