John Collier has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. John started their career as a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories, where they were involved in analyzing costs, managing teams, and implementing software process improvements. John then joined Motorola as an HRIS analyst, where they analyzed, evaluated, and managed HRIS projects.

After that, they worked at Alcatel-Lucent as a Member of Technical Staff, where they analyzed requirements, designed, coded, and tested telephone circuit and VoIP switch software. John also led projects involving porting and testing code.

John then joined IBM as a Senior Software Engineer, where they performed quality assurance testing, designed and wrote software, and delivered solutions for customer problems. John also contributed to bug reporting and suggested improvements to the products.

Following their time at IBM, they worked briefly at MicroTrain Technologies as a Program Director/Product Manager, where they gained sales experience. John then joined Gentex as a Software Test Engineer and later moved to Thales Visionix, where they continued to work in software testing.

Their most recent position is at CCC Intelligent Solutions, where they serve as a Lead AI Production Support Engineer. Their responsibilities include ensuring the quality of data science products and providing support for production systems.

John Collier earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Lake Superior State University from 1978 to 1981. John later pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1986. Their high school education was completed at Central Montcalm High School from 1974 to 1977.
