Gideon McLean

Gideon McLean started their work experience in 2000 as an Investment Analyst at BWD Rensburg. Gideon then joined First Hydro in 2001 as a Prompt Power Trader and Scheduler. In 2006, they joined Goldman Sachs as the Manager of European Gas and Power Scheduling. During their time at Goldman Sachs, they also served as the Head of European Commodity Operations and was involved in regulatory and market structure advocacy. In 2016, Gideon became a member of ESMA's Commodity Derivatives Task Force Consultative Working Group. In 2019, they joined Castleton Commodities International as the Head of European Compliance and later became the Head of Compliance.

Gideon McLean attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1996 to 1999. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economic History with Economics.
