Jerry Li

Jerry Li has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Starting in 1986, they worked as a Research Scientist at the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, studying paleoclimate and sedimentology for petroleum exploration. In 1997, they worked as a Computer Consultant at IMI Systems Inc., contributing to an online catalog search tool project. From 1998 to 2006, they held various Software Engineering Team Lead positions at IBM, where they led teams in NetCommerce software and distributed messaging system research and development, earning top performance ratings and submitting five patents. Jerry then joined Societe Generale Energy Corp. as a Vice President in 2011 and Freepoint Commodities LLC as an AVP, Senior Software Engineer in 2012. From 2013 to 2018, they served as a Senior Software Consultant at Tudor Investment Corporation, integrating risk management systems, improving data feed systems, and contributing to cloud-based risk option engines. Most recently, in 2018, they joined UBS as a Senior Software Engineer, Equity Trading, Director, before assuming their current role as Vice President and Senior Developer at Castleton Commodities International in July 2021.

Jerry Li earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from Zhejiang University in 1983. Jerry then pursued a Master of Science degree in Lake Sedimentology from the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1983 to 1986. Following their master's degree, they attended Binghamton University and obtained a Ph.D in Geological Sciences from 1991 to 1995. Jerry Li continued their education at Binghamton University, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 1995 to 1997.
