Vima Jayabalan

Vima Jayabalan has extensive work experience in the energy and commodities industry. Vima started their career as a Process Engineer at Shell Refining Company Port Dickson in 2001 and held this role until 2004. Vima then worked as an Economist at Shell Eastern Petroleum Company from 2004 to 2007. Following that, they joined Shell International Petroleum Company as an Oil Markets Strategy Advisor from 2007 to 2008.

In 2009, Vima joined JPMorgan Chase as a Vice President in Commodities Research and remained in this position until 2010. Vima then joined Noble Group, where they had multiple roles. Vima started as a Senior Trader in Cross Commodity from 2010 to 2011 and later became the Global Head of Energy Strategy and Research from 2011 to 2014.

Currently, Vima works at Castleton Commodities International as the Executive Director of Energy Trading and Strategy, a position they have held since 2014.

Vima Jayabalan attended Universiti Teknologi Malaysia from 1997 to 2001, majoring in Chemical Engineering. No degree name was specified for this period of education.
