W. Peter Blanchard

W. Peter Blanchard, CPA, CGA has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. W. Peter most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at CCI INC. starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Prairie Merchant Corporation for over 16 years, where they held various roles including Executive Vice President, Finance and Fun, Vice President, Finance and Fun, and Controller. In these roles, they were responsible for financial statements, regulatory filings, accounting processes, and key performance indicators. W. Peter played a crucial role in the purchase of two aircraft by providing timely and accurate information to support decision-making. Before joining Prairie Merchant Corporation, Peter worked as a Branch Manager and Securities Specialist at Investors Group Securities Inc. where they led a team and achieved significant growth in brokerage assets.

W. Peter Blanchard, CPA, CGA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Manitoba in 1982. W. Peter then went on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with a focus on Accounting from the same university between 1982 and 1985. In 1992, they earned the designation of Certified General Accountant from the Certified General Accountants of Canada. Following that, in 2008, they completed the In-Depth Tax Course, parts I and II, specializing in Canadian Taxation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Lastly, in 2016, they became a Chartered Professional Accountant through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
