Ger Koole

Ger Koole is a Professor in Business Analytics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they research and teach decision making under uncertainty, focusing on planning in health care, customer contact, and dynamic pricing in aviation and hospitality. Ger's background includes a dual postdoc experience at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science and INRIA Sophia Antipolis, as well as advisory and training roles at VUmc. They co-founded CCmath, providing software solutions for call center workforce management, and founded AdScience, a company specializing in optimizing advertisement placements. In 2020, Ger served as lead scientist for predictive modeling of COVID-19 hospital admissions at the national patient distribution coordination center in the Netherlands.
