District Fine Arts Coordinator For Music at CCSD 46

Megan Ames currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at VanderCook College of Music and has extensive experience as a Band Director for CCSD 46 since June 2007, where a successful band program was established and expanded from 9 to nearly 200 students. As a District Fine Arts Coordinator for Music and a self-employed accompanist since February 1999, Megan Ames has contributed to various musical performances, including instrumental and vocal solos, choirs, and musical theatre. Additional roles include adjudication for woodwinds, brass, piano, and vocal ensembles, as well as positions as Assistant Marching Band Director and Assistant Jazz Choir Director & Accompanist at Grayslake Community High School District 127 from August 2007 to May 2022. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from American College of Education and a Bachelor of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music.
