Michael Place

Michael Place is currently a Policy & Impact Associate at the Community Development Bankers Association, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Finance and Research Associate for Abigail Spanberger and gained extensive research experience at the University of Richmond, where responsibilities included consulting with writers and conducting environmental research as a NASA Grant Cartographer. Michael's background includes work as an Invasive Species Intern for the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, leading a project funded by the U.S. Department of State, and various roles in customer service and advocacy. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Politics, Philosophy, Economics, and Law from the University of Richmond.
