Anna Barnes

Anna Barnes serves as a Senior Program Officer at the CDC Foundation, overseeing national public health initiatives focused on overdose prevention, data modernization for medical examiner offices, and youth substance use prevention. Previously, Anna directed program operations for the Data Across Sectors for Health (DASH) initiative at the Illinois Public Health Institute, enhancing community collaborations for health outcomes. Anna's extensive experience includes roles at the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children, where city-wide strategies for healthy eating and physical activity were implemented, and positions at Openlands and Seven Generations Ahead. Anna holds a Master's of Public Health in Community Health Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago and two Bachelor's degrees in Anthropology from the University of Rochester.
