Deneka Cain is a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in overdose response strategies and community health initiatives. Currently serving as a Public Health Analyst for the Overdose Response Strategy at the CDC Foundation since January 2022, Deneka focuses on reducing fatal and non-fatal overdoses through trauma-informed approaches and harm reduction techniques in Oklahoma. Previously, Deneka co-owned Oodelah, LLC, an inclusive wellness center emphasizing non-pharmaceutical pain management. Additional leadership roles include serving as Executive Director at Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity, CEO of Meridian Behavioral Health, Executive Director of the Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center, and holding various positions at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Deneka holds a JD in Political Science and Law from the University of Oklahoma.
