Antibiotic Stewardship Public Health Specialist

Madeline Powers, MPH, has extensive experience in public health and residence education. Madeline served as a Residence Education Assistant at Purdue University Residences, where responsibilities included supervising and mentoring a team of Resident Assistants and managing crises for a large community. Previous roles included conducting public health research, such as analyzing data related to COVID-19 attitudes and antibiotic prescribing practices, and working as a Peer Consultant for the Purdue University Center for Career Opportunities. Madeline's background also encompasses internships with the Indiana Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Health, focusing on violence prevention and epidemiology. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and a Master of Public Health from Purdue University. Currently, Madeline serves as an Antibiotic Stewardship Public Health Specialist for the CDC Foundation.
