Alan Sims

Alan Sims is a Branch Chief and Supervisory Contracting Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with over 25 years of experience in federal procurement and contract management within the public health sector. They have supervised teams of up to 30 individuals and managed multibillion-dollar contract portfolios, including responsibilities for the CDC’s vaccine and COVID-19 emergency actions. Previously, Alan served as a Contract Specialist in the United States Air Force and has received numerous awards for outstanding performance, including recognition as the HHS Small Business Champion of the Year. They earned an MBA from Georgia College & State University and a BBA from Georgia Southern University.
